Match Report

On paper this was going to be a tough night for Parkwood at Luton 3 and at 3-3 any score was possible. However, once again the Div 1 leaders came through and won the last four games to clinch victory number 19 of the season. Six of the 10 games had to be decided in the fifth leg and Phil Goldsmith was involved in three of them bouncing back from last week's blank to record wins against Ross Childs and Dave Hopkins and only losing out on a hatrick 11-9 in the decider to Vince Spicer. Ian Sayer added a single win against Vince but Luton's 3rd player, Kevin Flannery, who is having a stop/start season, was beaten by all the Parkwood trio. Ross was narrowly calculated as Player of the Match and he teamed up with Hopkins for yet another Doubles success.
