M.T.T.T.L. CLOSED CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007-2008
REGULATIONS

1. All players registered in accordance with the League Rules shall be eligible to enter the senior events provided that they have played four league matches by 1st February 2008, (that is excluding the Charles Stampe Trophy and any other competition organised by the MTTTL during the 2007-2008 season). Acceptance of entries is at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
2. At the discretion of the organiser, first rounds of certain events may be played on a group basis with later rounds played on a knock-out principle. Groups will be allocated a table and the competitor not playing will umpire.
3. The losing player of any match, other than in the groups, will remain at the table to umpire the following match. Failure to do so may result in disqualification and the possible refusal of an entry to the 2009 competition.
4. Each match will be the best of five legs.
5. Competitors must be available to play when called. Failure to be available may result in disqualification and a possible refusal of an entry to the 2009 competition.
6. There will be no knocking-up on any tables. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in disqualification.
7. There will be no meal breaks and play will be continuous
8. Entries will not be accepted after the closing date of Friday 15th February 2008, except at the organiser's discretion.
9. Entries must be accompanied by the appropriate fees and, in order that start times can be notified to the player, a stamped addressed envelope. Alternatively, send an e-mail to Roy Winnett at "roywinnett@care4free.net". Failure to do so could result in an entry being returned.
10. Entries will be acknowledged by the organisers who will notify entrants of their start times. It is the responsibility of competitors to be aware of their start times. See Rule 5.
11. There will be no smoking in the competition area.
12. Entrants and spectators will comply with any rules laid down by the venue authorities
13. Entrants are responsible for the behaviour of their supporters. Unruly or insulting behaviour by entrants or their supporters may result in disqualification.
14. A player entering Veteran's closed events must have been born on or before 1st Jan 1973 if a woman or 1st Jan 1968 if a man. A player entering the Junior Under 18 event must have been born on or after 1st Jan 1990, Under 15 - on or after 1st Jan 1993, Under 13 - on or after 1st Jan 1995 and Under 11 - on or after 1st Jan 1997
15. The age requirement for the Over 50's and Over 60's is as at 15th March 2008.
16. Junior entrants must either be: (a) registered, in the current season, with a team entered into the MTTTL or its junior league; (b) live in the area of MTTTL; or (c) attend a school within the area of the MTTTL.
17. There is an entry fee of £1.50 for each singles event and £1.50 per person for each doubles event entered in the Senior Events.
18. There is an entry fee of £0.75 for each singles event and £0.75 per person for each doubles event entered in the Junior Events.
19. Cheques to be made payable to "M.T.T.T.L."
20. Junior entrants may only enter a maximum of three age groups.


The organisers reserve the right to amend the content of the programme, subject to events having sufficient entrants to be held.
